Ramadan Countdown

1st Ramadan · Month of Fasting

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Hijri calendar and the holiest month in Islam. It’s the month the Quran was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. From dawn (Fajr) to sunset (Maghrib), Muslims fast, abstaining from food, drink, and worldly desires. The fast builds taqwa (God-consciousness), self-discipline, and real empathy for the hungry. Nights bring Taraweeh prayers, Quran recitation, and charity. You can also view the Ramadan Calendar 2027 to plan your schedule.

Shab-e-Qadr Countdown

27th Ramadan · Laylat al-Qadr

Shab-e-Qadr (Laylat al-Qadr), the Night of Power, is the most blessed night of the year. The Quran calls it “better than a thousand months”, so worship on it outweighs more than 83 years. It’s the night the Quran was first sent down. The Prophet ﷺ told Muslims to seek it in the odd nights of the last 10 days of Ramadan, the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, or 29th. The 27th is the night most widely observed, spent in prayer, Quran, and duʿa.

10th Muharram · Ashura Day

Ashura, the 10th of Muharram, carries layers of meaning. It marks the day Allah saved Prophet Musa and the Israelites from Pharaoh, and the Prophet ﷺ said fasting it expiates the sins of the previous year.
