Dhul Hijjah (ذُو الحِجَّة, Urdu ذوالحجہ) is month 12 of the Islamic Hijri calendar. Its name means "the one of pilgrimage". Dhul Hijjah is the month of Hajj. The Day of Arafah is the 9th and Eid ul-Adha the 10th; it closes the Hijri year. It is one of the four sacred months named in the Quran, together with Muharram, Rajab, Dhul Qadah and Dhul Hijjah.
Pakistan, India and Bangladesh begin Dhul Hijjah by local moon sighting, usually one day after Saudi Arabia, which follows the Umm al-Qura calendar. That is why this page shows two dates. The first of the month can still move by a day once the crescent is sighted or not.
