About Dhul Qadah
Dhul Qadah (ذُو القَعْدَة, Urdu ذوالقعدہ) is month 11 of the Islamic Hijri calendar. Its name means "the one of truce". Dhul Qadah is one of the four sacred months and the month before Hajj, when pilgrims begin to travel. It is one of the four sacred months named in the Quran, together with Muharram, Rajab, Dhul Qadah and Dhul Hijjah.
Pakistan, India and Bangladesh begin Dhul Qadah by local moon sighting, usually one day after Saudi Arabia, which follows the Umm al-Qura calendar. That is why this page shows two dates. The first of the month can still move by a day once the crescent is sighted or not.
